Description francoismalias-forum@yahoo.fr 2013-01-20 08:34:11 UTC
Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1- open an existing base
2- modify it (e.g. by adding a new table)
3- save it and close it
4- create a new base, with a new file name of course
5- as from that point on, the file name displayed at window top is wrong, being the former one. Nevertherless, the current active base is the new one, that could be checked as to its content or by selecting "save as"
6- even if the latest one is saved then reopened, error is still there

Current behavior:
wrong (former) base (file) name displayed at base window top
Expected behavior:
current base name should be displayed instead

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.0.0.1 rc

Comment 2 Stephan Bergmann 2013-01-24 07:58:34 UTC
No, this is completely unrelated to bug 59679. For one, this is about "wrong (former) base (file) name displayed at base window top" rather than garbled non-ASCII characters. And for another, the other bug is strictly about Linux Gnome with a POSIX or similar non--UTF-8 locale.

I reproduced this on 4.0.0.3 - window title is old database and Menu Window shows old database selected.

I also tested on Version 3.6.5.2 (Build ID: 5b93205)- it works OK on this, new database name is shown.

All testing on x86 pro 32bit, x86.

I tested again, with new release 4.0.2 / Windows 7. Good news: this issue is now fixed, the right (current) file name being displayed in top windows bar.
I don't know wheither I'm allowed to state the issue as "resolved/fixed"?
Thanks to the development team for fixing it!

We only mark as FIXED if we know the exact patch and the person who fixed the issue, in this case since we know neither we mark as WFM. Great thing that it's solved :) Thanks for commenting and confirming
