Courier Prime is a font designed for screenplays and to replace Courier and Courier Final Draft fonts. Features: - It looks just as good on the monitor as out of the printer. - It's optimized for 12 point size, and matches the metrics of Courier and Courier Final Draft, so you can often swap it out one-for-one. - Other Couriers just slant the letters to create faux italics. We give you a whole new face, modeled off the “casual” script of vintage typewriters, that looks magnifique. - It’s released under the SIL Open Font License (OFL) license. It looks terrible on-screen because of lack of hinting and misses Cyrillic and Greek letters entirely. It can not replace Courier in any way.
Interesting proposal; true italics are nice. While it doesn't replace standard Courier just yet, I think we can consider it.
Now there are Courier Prime Cyrillic and Courier Prime Medium & Semi-Bold.
The consensus seems that we don’t want to bundle more fonts.
