Clarifying language of title: "Libvisio: Importing and using Cisco Stencils" -> "Libvisio: Unable to import Cisco Stencils from a VSS file"
Version 4.1.0.0.alpha0+ (Build ID: 871712ad62bb01359c29713a148a5673e26df1a) Bodhi Linux (based on Ubuntu 12.04) 02/13/13 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Confirmed that this is not possible. Marking as: New (confirmed) Enhancement (not a bug, just a new desired feature) Low (non native, not incredibly popular and going to take a lot of work to implement) @Kaare - thanks for reporting, we'll see if someone can tackle this one
Fridrich, all 292 stencils are wrapped EMF images. I don't see anything special in the file.
This was never supposed to work. VSD or VSS file are the same structure, just that a VSS file has typically empty pages. If imported into LO, it will show as empty document, or as just nothing. If you want to extract the stencils, you have to use the standalone writerperfect module and its vss2odg tool. So, this bug is more of a feature request.
