Hi, sorry you are experiencing this. I cannot confirm this behavior using LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 and Version 4.1.0.0.alpha0+ (Build ID: cad65120c6da901bf9fe33ab16ad22217efed0c) on Windows 8. I open a document, select View -> Nonprinting characters, and paragraph characters appear. Are there perhaps some specific characters that don't show up?
