We have a Java component that connects through the UNO api to four LibreOffice-instances. This service runs on a Windows Server 2008R2 64-bit and is intended to batch-convert sets of ODTs to DOC format at the customer. The service opens the odt, saves to doc and closes the odt, in that order. The test we did was sending 1000 odt's to the service, so every LO instance gets 250 documents to convert. The handle count for every LO instance goes up to over 6000, and it never gets down anymore. If we send more odt's, LibreOffice handles keep on rising until windows shuts down the initiating Java code (Red Hat BRMS server!). So LO leaks handles, up to 6000 for just 250 files, over 25000 for 1000 files, which is very critical. The only solution we have now is to restart LibreOffice every once in a while, but this comes with a huge slow-down in processing.
Has anyone been able to reproduce this issue?
Can you deliver test kit of some kind?
