Well, I in normal life operate with more than 50 documents of different types, be this spreadsheets, text, presentations and so on. I thought even on writing an extension to solve this, but I realized that the best practice would be that every application would open its local recents array or in broader recents array. This would not consume much RAM and would spare a lot of time to us users. I personally throw away a lot of time for digging around my own harddisk and such an enhancement would be like an aspirin for me. Of course, it should be enablable on user's demand in options, otherwise UI should stay by default by old days User should be able to climb the tree of other types (presentations, spreadsheets, ...) in let's say Writer where text documents should be in the first place, all others in the second level (10/40). This is probably easy to achieve in some xml or javascriopt. Of course, the files on the second level should be sorted by date like now all recents are and by type on the second level. The first ten should be sorted by date only (thus you need a pair of spares, not showing in the menus). Comments welcome! ~~~~ Librosaurus
