Did reinstall LO4.012 Dual moniter laptop, Win7, Intel i5. Start presentation from impress, no console. In tools menu no icon. In Roaming/LibreOffice/ :lu1dice.tmp_ exists with oracle_presenter_screen.oxt So what is wrong?
Hi, Thanks for reporting. (In reply to comment #1) > Did reinstall LO4.012 Dual moniter laptop, Win7, Intel i5. Start > presentation from impress, no console. Just to be sure: we are talking about the Presenter Console like displayed here: http://www.libreoffice.org/assets/presenter.png?r=12095 ? > In tools menu no icon. In > Roaming/LibreOffice/ :lu1dice.tmp_ exists with oracle_presenter_screen.oxt > So what is wrong? That Presenter Console is now build-in LibreOffice, so no need for an extension anymore. If you open Impress and go to Slide Show > Slide Show Settings. Is the option at the bottom (Multiple Displays > Presentation Display) greyed out? If so, the second screen isn't recognized well. Thanks for your feedback, Joren I mark this bug as NEEDINFO until response of Peter
Thanks for answering quickly. For your first question, yes, that presenter console. This is Windows 7. So I plugged in my TV as second monitor, put the computer on duplicate screens and opened Impress. It was displayed on both. There is the possibility to plug in high definition, but that doesnot open as a duplicate monitor. Going to Slide Show > Slide Show Settings, the option at the bottom (Multiple Displays > Presentation Display) is greyed out. Both the laptop and the TV are Samsung, so they should recognize each other. So is it a problem of hardware or something in the software? Thanks, Peter

I think that's the problem > Both the laptop > and the TV are Samsung, so they should recognize each other. So is it a > problem of hardware or something in the software? I really don't know that. I think LibreOffice does not recognize there is a second screen attached (otherwise this option should not be greyed out). I tested it using Mac OSX 10.8.3 with LibreOffice 4.0.2.1 and libreoffice recognize correctly there is a screen attached (and shows the Presenter Console correctly. Therefore I need to mark this bug back to "Unconfirmed" and I hope someone else know a workaround/what's the problem. Kind regards, Joren
adding a presenter expert: Thorsten Behrens Thorsten - can we get your input on this one?
Please remove the stale oracle presenter screen extension, as joren says, this is now built-in (and may conflict). Unrelated to that - if your setup is _clone screens_, there is no 2nd screen Impress could use to display the console - all Impress sees is a single screen (which Windows then duplicates to two displays). Please configure your screens differently.
Marking as NEEDINFO - Peter please do what Thorsten has recommended, verify that you aren't just cloning your screen. If you still have an issue mark but as UNCONFIRMED and leave a comment, else please mark as RESOLVED -> NOTABUG.
!taking out the now useless programs I looked at the dispay. there are duplicate and extended screen modes. So trying extended the consol appeared on one screen and Impress on the other.
Great news :)
