I opend a XLSX-file exported with LO 4.0.0. in LO 4.0.0 and higher. In the orginal ods was an diagram (Ringdiagramm), which was missing wehn in opend the exported xlsx in LO 4.0.0 or highter. The diagramm is not visible, but the legend ist correct. the border of the diagramm is exitent, you can click it and move ist, but in doest show the diagramm-graphic. If i open the same xlsx-file in OpenOffice 3.4.1, LibreOffice 3.6.4 or SoftMaker Office 2012, the diagram is correct shown. I also created a XLSX-file with Softmaker Office 2012 (ods to xls with LO 4.0.0, xls to xlsx with Softmaker Office 2012). OpenOffice 3.4.1, LO 3.6.4 and Softmaker Office 2012 display the diagramm correct, but in LO 4.0.0 and higher the diagram invisbile too. (In exported xls-files the diagram is correct shown in LO 4.0.0, ist just a problem with xlsx-files) TestSystem: Windows 7, XP, Debian-Linux 6.0 (i368) Office: LibreOffice 4.0.0 and higher
Created attachment 77417 [details] ods, xls and xlsx-files
Created attachment 77418 [details] xls-exported from ods with LO 4.0.2
Created attachment 77419 [details] xlsx-exported from ods with LO 4.0.2
Created attachment 77420 [details] xlsx-exported from xls with SoftMaker Office 2012 (the xls was exported from ods with LO 4.0.2)
Thanks for reporting! I can reproduce this behavior using Mac OSX 10.8.3 with LibreOffice 4.0.2.2. The diagram is gone when you save the ods file to xlsx and reopen it using LibreOffice. Open the xlsx file using Excel (for Mac 2010) shows the diagram in a very ugly way. I think Major Medium is indeed a correct priority for this bug. Kind regards, Joren

My current patch only fixes problems with the import into Excel in LO 4.1/master. The remaining problems are import problems as the file can be opened correctly by Excel.

If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.4.2 or later) https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b.
