Description whoever 2013-04-08 08:49:27 UTC
Problem description:
Formatting an auto-field (like date, time,....) is not possible in draw under Mac OS (with my Ubuntu it works).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click in draw: insert > fields > date (variable)
2. Edit the created date by right click
3. Choose an other format

Current behavior:
Still the same format of the date (e.g. 8.04.13)

Expected behavior:
The new format should be visible (e.g. 8. April 2013)

Operating System: Mac OS X
Version: 4.0.2.2 release
Comment 1 Joel Madero 2013-04-08 20:10:58 UTC
Perfect on Bodhi Linux, checked 3.6.5.2, 4.0.1.2 release and 4.1 master
Comment 2 Jorendc 2013-04-08 20:19:28 UTC
Thanks for reporting.

I can reproduce this behavior using Mac OSX 10.8.3 with LibreOffice 4.0.2.2. Therefore I mark this as NEW.

Priority:
Normal: does prevent you to make high quality work
low: not used that much, only reproducible with Mac OSX.

Kind regards,
Joren

Problem is also reproducible using LibreOffice Version 3.6.5.2 (Build ID: 5b93205) and LibreOffice LibreOffice 3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b

I set bug version to 3.5.7.2 release for now, because this is the oldest version we can reproduce right now. This problem is probably inherit from AOo.

Still present in

Version: 4.4.1.2
Build ID: 45e2de17089c24a1fa810c8f975a7171ba4cd432
Locale : fr_

Not only can the format not be changed, but the default format in the context menu was said to be SHORT (tick next to context menu entry), whereas it is displayed as LONG, i.e. 25/0/32015 - clearly wrong. So there are two problems here.

Still present, and this is an issue in both Impress and Draw. Writer uses a different interface to change the field format that works

See duplicate bug 80416 for test case

Still present, and this also applies to e.g, Filename where LO thinks it is displaying "Path/Filename" but is actually showing Filename without extension
