When the LO windows is narrowed (takes half of the screen for example), some tools in the Formating Toolbar gather in a menu ("Angle brackets" signe right end of the toolbar). When the font color tool is hidden there, it doesn't work, clicking on it doesn't open the Color Palette.
Hm this is behaving as it's intended to be used. When you have your window this small and push the font color button it is equivalent to pushing the square button that is "font color", NOT clicking the down arrow next to the button. The difference is the down arrow will show you the list of colors, the push square button will apply the last used color automatically (ie. you don't get to pick) Attaching a picture to show what I mean. Marking as NOTABUG as it's working as we expect it to work. Thanks for reporting

Hi Joel, Thank you for your reply. I guess you're right. Maybe my point should be a feature request then ? I understand we can apply font color (the last used) but i am surprised not to be able to choose another color from this Tool (using the color palette). I expeted the tool to remain similar wether it's hidden or not. I am not aware of process for this type à request : I have changed the "Importance" box to "Low" "Enhancement" I wonder if "status" should be put to REOPEN ? I'm happy to learn from this mistake and hope to do better reports in the futur. Regards, Renaud
No mistake :) I should have marked as an enhancement, not sure how to implement it but I agree with your low importance. Marking as NEW (independently confirmed) Enhancement request :)
