Created attachment 79784 [details] 400 page book with lots of formatting. Libreoffice crashes upon opening attached file. Windows 7.
Hi Phillip, Thanks for the report. It opens fine in 4.0.3 on Ubuntu. Wil try in 4.1.0alfa/beta later. Does it open fine for you in 4.0.3?
Yes, it works in 4.03 just fine.
Thank you for your bug report, I can't reproduce this bug running libreoffice Version: 4.1.0.0.beta1 Build ID: 3a2c2d2417101e45fe07cfd8358acf2204a98f3 on Mac osx 10.8.3 The file opens with out a problem.
I also can't reproduce this running Version: 4.1.0.0.beta1 Build ID: 5271b34bec742e190e2fe5a7dadb7334a705b54 on windows 7. it opens in 3 sec for me.
I also can not reproduce a crash using Mac OSX 10.8.3 with LibreOffice 4.1.0 beta 1 (and of course 4.0.3). But I see some major formatting issues, which is definitely a regression. Example: The section titles are cropped (letters are on top of each other). @Philip: You mind reporting a separate bug report for these formatting issues? Kind regards, Joren
Will do.
closing this as "works for me" If it still crashes for you, then pls try to refresh the user profile https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile Thanks for the new bug: bug 65013 !
I deleted the user profile and the file still crashes Libreoffice every time I open it.
I just downloaded 4.1 beta 2, and every book length LiO file I opened crashed. Just open the file, wait a moment, and it crashed. So, I doesn't appear to be fixed.
Hi Phillip, Sorry to read that you have (again) problems with that file. But since three people here (Linux, Mac, Windows 7) do not have the problem, I have the strong impression that it is a problem with ?? but not with LibreOffice. Set importance to Normal and version to 1st version of report. Considering to close as NOTOURBUG .. ?
Yet, I have no such problem with Version 4.0.3.1 (Build ID: a67943cd4d125208f4ea7fa29439551825cfb39), which works flawlessly. Phil
no crash with LibO 4.1.1.2 under Win7 64 bit. @Phil have you tried using 4.1.1? do you still have this issue?
still opens fine with 4.1.2.3 under Win7 64bit I change status to NEEDINFO waiting for reporter's feedback.
No problems with Version: 4.1.2.2 Build ID: 281b75f427729060b6446ddb3777b32f957a8fb Win 7 64 bit
nice to hear that. I mark this as RESOLVED WORKSFORME
