Created attachment 79911 [details] Document with table as it currently exists My 20-page 7-column table was created in MS Word 2007 XML then revised a half-dozen times as a MS Word 97/XP DOC using LibreOffice Writer. No problems editing, reformatting, or printing the table. But a week ago, I updated Writer to versions 4.0.3.3. When I opened the table document, many cells and columns were scrambled so that the document was worthless. Worst of all, the last iteration of the document had been extensively edited. So I had to reconstruct the whole thing. I converted the table to PDF then closed the DOC file. When I reopened it again, it was rescrambled. Perhaps the 4.0.3.3 update changed something? How can I recover my original document without hours more effort?
I'd love to see if I can reproduce, but I'll need you to upload the attachment again, and this time set the file type to "Auto-Detect", NOT text/plain.
Also please explain what is expected & unexpected, some screenshot if possible.
Created attachment 79977 [details] MS Word Doc of Documents Checklist table Thanks for your response and interest. Sorry about the earlier attachment. Hope this one is useful. The original table's 7 column headers were Item; Description; Custodian/Officer; Medium/Location; Main Users; Notes; Done. Three new empty columns were inserted, and the headers of the columns that were driven off were shifted back to column #1. UPDATE: I think the problem is related to LibreOffice's converter for MS Word documents. After submitting the bug, I saved a fixed version of the table (then in DOC format) as an ODT file. When I reopened the ODT file, it was fine, and I made a PDF print that was correct also.
