Hi All, Converting text to numbers currently requires an extension: http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/ct2n-convert-text-to-number-and-dates IMO this should be included in the core functions of LibreOffice - often times for new users they have no clue why Format -> Cell -> Number doesn't convert their stuff to numbers and it's because of the quarky addition of ' to the beginning of a cell that has certain text in it. If an example is needed I will provide one but I think most devs/QA will know what I'm referencing - maybe this is wrong though :)
Added Joren for a 2nd opinion :)
Hi, As author I feel honoured of course :) (And with lots and lots of experienced and patience, loving support, I could even to able to achieve it ;) )
:) Cor I had no clue this one was yours, I probably would have pinged you personally first. Is it agreed that this is a valid request and can be marked as NEW?
