If you create a pie chart from cells that are not next to each other the chart shrinks down to a tiny size when you stop editing it. Double click on the chart to edit it and it pops back up to it's normal size Other chart types don't seem to be effected openSuse 12.3 and 12.2 LO 4.0.3 and 4.1 RC1
Hi, thanks for reporting. I tried to reproduce it with LO 4.1.0.1 on Ubuntu 13.04 as you described but the pie chart does not shrink when stopping to edit it here. Can you attach an example document to this bug report so that we can look into it? Setting the bug to needinfo for now.
Maybe it only happens on open/Suse I haven't got anything else to test it on see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=827332 I put the bug there as well as I wasn't sure who I should report it to. Another poster put a picture of what happens M

Hi, I can now reproduce this bug. As soon as you use labels as well it does not shrink. That is why I missed it earlier, sorry for this. Reproduced with LO 4.1.0.1 on OSX 10.8.4 so setting platform to all. Earliest LO version tested with this bug 4.0.0.3 so setting version to this. Not reproducible with LO 3.6.7.1
Usually if the chart shrinks means that an exception occurred somewhere in chart code. In this case also the legend is not drawn, which looks to me that the code exited before getting to the legend drawing code. Looks like pie chart can not handle non-continuous data ranges well.
Fixed this as http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=1543cf5eb67810108e87e8ea73f08d51223a9957 Please test this on nightly builds
Confirmed that it is fixed with: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: fe842b034fb5f9b3a8444f66cc51f12464444ca9 Thanks.
This seems to be back with 4.2 beta 2

Looks like a missing chart - a different bug or a regression, I am assuming. [I can confirm that the chart is missing for me though - all the pie chart types]
I have a similar one in bug 72559 Are they related ?
yes, that would be the problem. I would suggest leaving this fixed and waiting for bug 72559 to get fixed before reopening (or working on) this one. (In reply to comment #12) > I have a similar one in bug 72559 > Are they related ?
Setting to ASSIGNED as that seems more appropriate. REOPENED means that the bug was claimed FIXED at some point - that's not the case here.
Hi Muthu, I'm setting this ticket back to NEW as it has been inactive for more than 3 months. Feel free to assign it back to you if you're still working on this. Regards

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! don't repro very small size of pie chart in Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 7ca7d61dc25f409e209b3a432c7f07469b17e316 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default; VCL: win; TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2019-05-03_23:08:41 Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US Calc: CL but I see three items in the legend instead two. Looks as second item equal zero and pie chart looks good but it has wrong legend. I think it's another bug (or may be not a bug?)
