Created attachment 81658 [details] Example for replication of failure as explained in the description. The problem is demonstrated as follows and the attached example file should be used for clarification. In the example file there are two sheets: Sheet1 and Sheet2. All cells on both sheets are empty except A1 on each sheet has a comment. On Sheet1 cut and paste cell A1 to cell A2 (by selecting cell A1, ctrl-x, down-arrow, ctrl-y). Next click the undo icon (or enter ctrl-z). The comment in Sheet2 cell A1 is gone (and you're editing Sheet1 not Sheet2, so this is a bug). If the file is saved at this point, the comment in Sheet2 cell A1 is present in the saved file. If before saving the file, a comment is added to Sheet2 cell B1 and then the file is saved, then the comment in Sheet2 cell A1 is absent in the saved file. The editing on Sheet1 caused the comment in Sheet2 to be lost. I have experienced all comments in all other sheets (other than the one being edited) being lost. An egregious aspect of the problem is that one likely will not notice that their comments are lost until later. If, in the meantime, they've done a filesave, the comments are permanently lost. If your comments are important to you, then you better have a backup. I have a utility that runs in the background that creates a backup copy of every filesave I do of a Calc file, so I save very frequently. Even so, the recovery of the lost comments is laborious. Also, in creating the example file in the most obvious way, the comments don't appear in the navigator frame when first entered. They do appear in the navigator frame after some subsequent editing operations.
Sorry that you had to wait such a long time for a reply. Unfortunately, this issue was for me not reproducible with LO 4.1.4.2 (Win8). Does this issue still persist for you with the latest release of LO?
