In case you try to format different type Number of cells to bring them to General type they refuse to change.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create multiple cells with different Number Format
2. Enter some numbers in each cell
3. Select all of the cells which contain numbers and press command+1->Numbers->Category: Number, Format: General->Click General->click OK

Current behavior: it does not change the format

Expected behavior: change all the selected cells format to the choosen one

I can confirm this issue on OS X 10.8.4, LO 4.1.0.1.
Setting to NEW.
