Please clearly describe the problem & steps to reproduce. If that problem is upgrading to 4.0.4.2, have you tried clean install & resetting user profile?

Sorry I don't understand clearly. You did upgrading from 4.0.3.3 to 4.0.4.2 using auto update function or you did fresh installation?
The installed version is 4.0.3.3 and is wants to install the 4.0.4 from the download version. Another opportunity is not available. (See below) There is a manual install of the existing. Don't know whether it's similar to Bug 57185 with different error message. I've never do upgrading so never experience error. I always did fresh install (uninstall old version, then install new version). Maybe you could try that as workaround.
