Created attachment 82208 [details] The spreadsheet containing the issue explained Problem description: Setting the chart legend position to "bottom", when I save the spreadsheet, close it and open it again, the chart legend is positioned at the center-right of the chart. Steps to reproduce: 1. select the chart in Sheet "2013" (or 2012) 2. set the legend position to "bottom" 3. save the spreadsheet 4. re-open the spreadsheet. Current behavior: Every time the chart legend moves to the center-right of the chart Expected behavior: Operating System: Ubuntu Version: 4.0.4.2 release
Thanks for reporting. I can reproduce this behavior using Mac OSX 10.8.4 with LibreOffice 4.1.0.2 RC. How to reproduce: * Create new spreadsheet * Fill in some random data * Create a chart of it (don't matter), click finish to skip all configurations of the chart (not necessary here) * double click on the legend * Tab 'Position', select 'bottom' * Save file as xls Behavior: reopening the document result in a legend on the right side of the chart. Kind regards, Joren
Actually the issue appear only when saving in .xls Microsoft Excel 2003. Saving in ODS format the changes are maintained. Trying to save in Excel 2007/2010 produce a more strange behaviour since all sheet formatting is lost and the chart disappear.
Can confirm this still exists in versions 4.1.0.4 and 4.2.3.3 release, on OS X 10.9.2, saving as .xls 2003.
