Hi Ljiljan,

Thanks for reporting this!

I see the problem in 4.1.0rc2 too:

In my situation, I see the mouse cursor changes and gets a +,
but there is no drawing copied.

It does work with a picture however.
Is that the same for you?

Do you have any idea if it worked correct in a previous version?

Regards,
Cor

I checked - I can copy imagse, but drawings are not possible... however, even copying images could be improved (perhaps images contour - selection could be shown while moving...)...

I did have this problem in LO 4.0 (all realases). I didn't use earlier versions.

The problem is annoying and occurs differently from application to application.

==============================================================

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open new Writer document.
2. Create drawing object of any kind.
3. Try to copy it by holding down the Ctrl-key and moving it with the mouse.
4. Try the same by holding down Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V
5. Try the same with picutures.
6. Do the same in other LO-applications.

I. Behaviour:

Comment 5 Ljiljan 2014-05-10 10:27:58 UTC
CTRL+C / CTRL+V works in Writer only in following case:

1. You select object
2. press CTRL + C
3. click on document (object is no longer selected)
4. Press CTRL + V
5. It's copied

In case shape / object is selected, copying will not work.

However, it is not possible to copy drawings in Writer while moving and holding CTRL.

Hello,
The description of Ljiljan is not correct.
If you copy a drawing using the mouse and the CTRL key, the drawing is copied, but not visible.
If you select the "print preview", the drawing becomes visible.
I use this fonctionality, despite this display bug, for over two years, with many different versions of Libreoffice, under windows XP and under Linux Ubuntu, also many versions.
Despite the display bug, it works well.

Thank you for this developpement, Bernard Gisin.
