Created attachment 82472 [details] The attached file is a pdf file that does not presented well in Drow. Problem description: when I open pdf file with Draw some of the objects are not in place, especially text which appears scrambled. Some of the charterers are replaced with other characters(in the example * is replaced with ^ ). Images are not impoted. The pdfimport extention (Oracle 1.0.4) from OpenOffice does better with images but not with the text. The same is true with the same libreoffice in Windows XP except the images are presented in the original libreoffice version. Steps to reproduce: 1. open the attached file with Draw. 2. .... 3. .... Current behavior: in the sample file numbers are not in centre of circels "gaza strip" is scrambled, instead of * there is ^. Expected behavior: Operating System: Ubuntu Version: 4.0.4.2 release

The bug is still present in LO 4.4.2.2 Ubuntu 14.04
Looks good in 5.2 alpha (guess also in LibO fresh). Haifa has a circumflex and symbols are nicely place. Not sure about the west bank's borderline, however ;-). Please check once again.
Using LO 5.0.52 on Ubuntu 15.10, the pdf import have improved. The only problem now is that some of the characters are not the same as in the original file as seen by evince. e.g a star is replaced by ^, e.g small circles imported from the default R plot function are missing completely.

Works like a charm for me (actually better than Acrobat Reader since the x-axis label isn't cropped). The dots are represented as special character, not sure if LilyUPC, ZapfDingbats, Liberation Serif or whatever. If your installation misses the font that might result in an issue (see 85295 for instance). So let's close this bug as fixed.
