Description kgizdov 2013-08-03 18:45:10 UTC
Problem description:
When naming a data series in a chart you are left with only two options either use quotes around the name or it has to be a single word with no formatting. For a chart where visualizing is the main idea having no formatting options seem ridiculous, but if you use the quotes to give the data series a formatted name, it is not saved with the document. The name as well as the formatting is lost with document closure.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Make a chart
2. Include a data series
3. Name the data series "Data Series Name"
4. Save the document
5. Close it
6. Open it again and the name of the data series in the chart is gone.

Current behavior:
You cannot save a data series name in a chart if it is in "Quoted Formatted Text" format.

Expected behavior:
To be able to save the document and all of its changes.

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.1.0.4 release

thanks for reporting.

I can confirm this behavior, tested using Windows 8 and LibreOffice Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 2382b8e8ec0ea65dc2a9ad1c401abe3be35a1487
TinderBox: Win-x86@6-debug, Branch:master, Time: 2013-08-02_23:15:16

I can recall this is already reported (or mentioned in another bug), but lets mark it as NEW for now (maybe I'll find the report later).

Kind regards,
Joren
