I can verify this behavior, tested using LibreOffice Version: 4.1.2.3 Build ID: 40b2d7fde7e8d2d7bc5a449dc65df4d08a7dd38 Also reproducible using LibreOffice Version 4.0.0.3 (Build ID: 53fd80e80f44edd735c18dbc5b6cde811e0a15c) TinderBox: MacOSX TDF Release, Branch:libreoffice-4-0, Time: 2013-01-31_11:01:36 After editing the formula, all Russian symbols are gone or replaced by a " or other symbols. Marking as critical low. Critical: loss of data Low: didn't saw this problem already, only reproducible in this case Kind regards, Joren
It's not a regression. I checked it in LibreOffice 3.5, and it is also wrong there. It is even wrong in MS Word 2010. The problem is, I think, that equations use Times New Roman Cyr font, which is not present on modern operating systems.
