File with described problem

Problem description:
Libre Office Calc shows links to files (Edit > Links).
But the document do not contain any links to files.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open document test.ods
2. Edit > Links
3. Search for this links in the document

Current behavior: There are not existing file links. On every startup LibreOffice wants to update this not existing file links.

Expected behavior: The document contain no file links, so LibreOffice don't want to update file links.

Operating System: openSUSE
Version: 4.0.0.3 release

Hi Peter,

I opened the attached test document with LO 4.1.1.1 and I get the message about links and LO asks if I want to update those links. If I select "yes" I get many errors about missing info (expected, since the linked document does not exist on my harddisk).

After the document opens and I select via top menu > Edit > Links I do see about 20 entires in that list.

So basically WORKSFORME on OS X 10.8.4, LO 4.1.1.1. Identical behavior on Ubuntu 13.04.

Could you please retry with http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/ or another new release?

Hi James,

I want to delete this links in the document. But I can't find them in the cells of the document (for example with search for "file:///").
So I think this is a bug.

It is easy Peter,
Menu/Edit/Links and select the links to break, click on Break links, this keep the values in cells/formulas.
Comment 4 Peter Stolz 2013-08-17 14:03:23 UTC
After break the links, I can not find any values in the cells.
Then I save, close and reopen the document and the links are back again.
Comment 5 m_a_riosv 2013-08-17 16:31:29 UTC
I have tried with one of my files in:
Win7x64Ultimate
Version 4.0.4.2 (Build ID: 9e9821abd0ffdbc09cd8c52eaa574fa09eb08f2)
and break links works as expected.

When you break the links, are they cleared in the window?

If the link are created trough and INDIRECT() function they can not be break in that way.
Comment 6 Peter Stolz 2013-08-18 06:42:08 UTC
Yes, break links clear them in the window.

But I can not find any links in the cells. After break the links I can not find any values in the cells. After save and reopen the document the links are back.
Comment 7 m_a_riosv 2013-08-18 11:32:49 UTC
Are you sure there are not INDIRECT() recreating the links?, It is the only way how the links are recreate.
Please verify if links are recreated without save after a hard recalc Shift+Ctrl+F9.
If you can attach a file sample, could be very helpful to find what happen. Remember delete any private information in it.

Record changes is active in Menu/Edit/Changes, maybe the links are in old contents, if I disable Menu/Edit/Change - Record, with saving and reload links are gone.

This solves the problem. Thanks!!
Comment 12 m_a_riosv 2013-08-18 14:56:42 UTC
Hi Peter, thanks.
But FIXED is when the bug is fixed with a patch, in this case better set up as NOTABUG, even is not clear for me that links of old changes must be showed.
