Description bugquestcontri 2013-08-19 01:44:30 UTC
Problem description:
I wanted make a test Writer using the portable version of 4.1.0.4 and needed Fontwork. As I wanted to insert something I went to the INSERT menu and did not find Fontwork. Only after looking into Help I found it is in the Drawing Toolbar.

For a novice this can be very cumbersome, especially if he/she comes from MS Word.

Solution
Please add Fontwork to the INSERT menu.

(PS In my production version I am using all I need in my highly customized toolbars thus forgot that Fontwork is in the Drawing Toolbar. Thus I can be regarded as an Writer novice.)

Operating System: Windows XP
Version: 4.1.0.4 release

basically you propose to change the default location of the Fontwork item.
I change version field to 3.3.0 since the actual location has always been like this in any LibO release.

Yes I propose a change of the default location. Currently one needs to open the Drawing Toolbar to be able to insert a Fontwork element.

I regard it as too complicated for person not so experienced with Writer, etc to get the idea to look into the Drawing Toolbar. Thus it should be made possible to insert a Fontwork by default from the Insert menu.

That a Fontwor tool icon is additionally available in the Drawing toolbar is good, as well as it is necessary to customize toolbars and place the Fontwork icon at any toolbar.

Sounds good, "Fontwork" can be added to Insert-Picture submenu, like in msword.

Fixed. Hmm, now it is Insert->Picture->Fontwork Gallery... which sounds like it inserts a gallery. :) Probably better to rename it to just "Fontwork..."

@Ivan, thanks for your commitment!!!

When under INSERT menu, you are right, FONTWORK only would be the better term.
