Problem description: Saving a document presentation from pptx to pptx doesn't maintain the modified paragraph spacing format. Saving the same file in ppt format does. Moreover saving from odp format to pptx format when paragraph spacing is modified doesn't preserve the paragraph spacing but modifies it as bullet list. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open pptx document 2. Modify paragrapgh spacing. Save and close. 3. Reopen the document Current behavior: Modified paragrapgh spacing is lost Expected behavior: Should maintain new paragrapgh spacing Operating System: Linux (Other) Version: 4.1.1.2 release
hi, please attach an .odp test file where you reproduce the bug. a screenshot of difference between .odp and .pptx would be useful as well.

Hi, here are three iamges to explain what I mean. 1) odp-ppt_format.png shows that the paragraph spacing is preserved after saving and closing (and of course reopening) a document; this happens if document is saved in odp or ppt format. 2) pptx._format.pmng shows that the paragraph spacing is NOT preserved after saving and closing a document; this happens if document is new and saved in pptx format. 3) pptx_saved_from_odp_format.png show what happens when a document in odp (or ppt) format) with paragraph spacing is saved in pptx. It doesn't preserve the paragraph and adds some strange bullet. Hope this will be helpfull Gian Paolo
ok, thanks 4 screenshots, but please attach the original .odp file as well. I don't need the whole presentation, a single slide where the issue is still reproducibile will be enough.

confimed on 4.1.1.2 (Win7 64bit). this bug is the same as Bug 42430. the main issue is that .pptx saving adds bullets to plain text. the change in paragraph spacing IMHO is a side effect of bullets insertion. edited summary notes. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 42430 ***
