The appearance of the shadows that are added to the objects in LO Impress is somewhat outdated, as it simply repeats the object in a dark color.

Ideally, get a shadow with blur (like PowerPoint). Moreover, the shadow options an image should be on par with options for text, in the sense that they can be consistent (eg color).

This simple change can greatly help improve the appearance of presentations made with LO Impress.
