I can't open .doc files in LibreOffice 4.1* releases running Xubuntu 12.04. Instead, I get the general error message referencing script.xlb. I have tried most of the fixes I found online -- corrupt profile, replacing script.xlb -- and none worked. This bug appeared mysteriously after running 4.1.1.2 for a week or so without any problem. I had a file open that I had created and saved as a .doc file, and went to open an older .doc file. That's when I got the error message. I uninstalled 4.1.1.2 and installed 4.1.0.4 and the same thing happened. I uninstalled 4.1.0.4 and installed 4.0.5.2 and all seems to be working. Operating System: Linux (Other) Version: 4.1.1.2 release
Is it possible to attach this test document so we can try to reproduce this behavior? Kind regards, Joren

I messed around with this, and it looks like adding dialog and script xlb files to the standard folder fixed the problem. I still don't know what happened on the 4.1 series, since I don't this fix worked when I tried it, but it's working correctly now with the 4.0.5.2 version. So you can mark it closed. Good to hear :). Still can't reproduce, so mark as 'RESOLVED WORKSFORME' is a correct option in this case. Thanks for your feedback! Kind regards, Joren
