Description Emir Sarı 2013-10-03 18:13:10 UTC
Steps to reproduce:

Open colour picker by clicking on the drop down arrow on the formatting toolbar.

Scroll through the open document.

Behaviour: Colour picker disappears.
Expected behaviour: Colour picker should stay open.

OS X 10.7.5, reproducible on all components of 4.1.2.2.

tested under Win7 64bit. as far as I see the color picker disappears when you scroll the document in any LibO release from 3.0.0 to date.

IMHO it's logical that after opening the color picker if you move your cursor to the scroll bar the focus in on the scrolling and not on the color picking.

so I'm not sure it's a bug... for the meantime I set status as NEW but I add an UI expert to CC list to hear it's advise...
maybe we can label as NOTABUG

Tommy, I think Emir means scrolling with a scroll wheel :) and this is a bug indeed. The color pickers disappear, but the font picker, style picker, etc. - don't.

Can you test the early versions again please?

Ok. I added "mouse wheel" to summary notes to make it clearer.

unfortunately I do not have a mouse here...
I'm with a laptop with touchpad only.
I will check in the next days.

In the meantime I revert version to 4.1.2.2

reproducible with LO 4.3.2.2 (Win 8.1)
For me the color picker does not disappear.
Does this issue still persist for you or anybody else with the latest release of LO? Or can we otherwise close this issue?
Comment 5 tommy27 2014-10-02 13:53:09 UTC
not disappearing under Win7x64 using LibO 4.3.1.2
clicked on color picker and then started scrolling with mouse wheel

color picker stay visible unless you move the cursor outside of it.

let's wait a MacOS user feedback before closing the issue

I forgot the word "not": -> not reproducible
Comment 7 Emir Sarı 2014-10-02 19:21:38 UTC

Ok. MacOS only bug.

@Emir: is this still reproducible in 4.4 beta, which has a new color-picking dropdown? Sorry, I don’t have a Mac to test it myself.

Thank you Foss for validating the issue. Unfortunately my Mac does not support 4.4+, so I am away from QA work for the moment. I'll be back when I replace my old beast.

This works for me

If I click the font color drop down and try to scroll the document, the color picker stays put. In fact, the document itself doesn't scroll.
