Error message during install

From version 4.0.5 until the latest release it isn't possible to install the dutch version of libreoffice. Almost at the end of the installation there are problems reading de libreoffice1.cab. I downloaded every version but only version 4.0.3 is still working See error message (in dutch)

Hi Ronny,

Sad to read... I've seen one message on the Dutch mailing list, but from what I understood that had be solved, possibly by choosing another dowload?
Can you write to the list for experiences pls?

Cor

Hi,
What do you mean by 'dutch version'? Officially LibreOffice has only one multi-language installer.

Also could you please try to disable your anti-virus software during installation, and try again? Sometimes such error caused by the anti-virus checking installation files too much long (especially on slow computers).

Also please inform your exact Windows version, and how much RAM do you have. Sometimes the decompression can fail when you don't have enough RAM.

I download the file from the this site: http://www.libreoffice.org/download.
I changed the Language to Dutch because default it is English.
My desktop is a Windows 7 SP1 with 8 Gb Ram.
This is not the only pc or portable with that problem. On a Windows XP machine SP3 with 2 GB of Ram I have the same problem. There was no antivirus on that machine because I was reinstalling it. The machine was not connected to the internet so no virus or other malware was installed.
I don't think the memory problems are the cause of the problem.

@Ronny Lydou: Could you please verify the integrity of the msi file? You have two ways to achieve that:

1. Right-click on the file in Explorer, choose 'Properties', open 'Digital Signatures' tab, and click on 'Details'. You should get a new windows with the text 'This digital signature is OK.'. If it's not the case, or you don't have the 'Digital Signatures' tab at all, then your installation file is corrupted.

2. You can also compare the hash of your file, with the one from libreoffice.org. In order to see the correct hashes, you should click on the 'Info' link that located at the bottom of the big green download button (near 'Torrent' link).

If your installation file is indeed corrupted, you should try to download it again. If it won't help, you should try another mirror (If you click on the 'Info' link, you'll get a list of mirrors).

@Maxim. you where right. I could not find the 'Digital Signatures' tab on the main installation file. The helppack_nl is ok (Version = V3).
I downloaded the main installation file from this site http://nl.libreoffice.org/download/ and I still could not find the digital signatures tab.

Now I will download the file from other mirror sites and using a linux desktop that is not behind a corporate firewall.

I will report back in the coming days.

Thanks already for the help

For the moment I don't have any problems anymore with the installation.
Before I download the file from different mirror sites but the problem was still there. Now with the last 3 updates everything was OK.

Thanks for doing a great job. Libreoffice is a great product.
