Description Zoltán Hegedüs 2013-10-18 10:59:58 UTC
(Sorry, my English is not perfect.)

I want to delete some direct formatting attributes (size, condensing, line space, paragraph space), all other direct formatting must be remain (for example bold, italic). I can not do this. Ctrl+M deletes all attributes.
Naturally, with the Find window, I can select the all paragraphs with a given style, and I can modify the size of the text, but this will be a direct formatting. But I want if I modify the style or remove a text to an another file with modified style, the size of text let vary.
Operating System: Windows XP
Version: 4.0.5.2 release

Suggestion :

Scenario : your text is mainly with a font size 11, with some parts in font size 16 (that you want to revert to font size 11) ans some parts in italics (that you want to preserve).

Prerequisite for my suggestion : the desired target attributes are those of the underlying paragram style (the ones you get with a Ctrl-M).

Proposed solution :
- select all the paragraphs where you want your normalisation to take place,
- set font size 16 for all (direct attribute, OK...)
- set font size 11 for all (...all "Font Size" direct formatting has gone, and only this attribute)
Same processing for all the direct attributes you want to erase.

Not a Bug.

By experience, if the size of the paragraph style is 11, and I use a direct formatting, for example, to the size 14, only for a part of the paragraph, and later I set the size to 11, this will be direct formatting: if I modify the paragraph style, the size remains, but the default size of the paragraph is 10 at now.
The default size of the paragraph was 11.
I copied the paragraph styles from an other file, with overwriting the styles with same names. Some words remained 11-sized, and size of some words varied.
I discovered this defect in this manner. The attachment is the corrected file, the correction took a lot of time (I filed this defect after the correction, the original file is overwitten, so I do not have the original file with various sizes).
