Description cquirkesite 2013-11-03 04:03:46 UTC
When saving as .XLS (87-2003), Grid and Freeze settings are not retained and revert to Off. I expect these settings to remain as set within the document before the Save.

These are the settings as applied via the Windows menu UI. I have not tested this bug in other file formats, as I only use MS Office 97-2003 for best compatibility. The bug applies sporadically, more than half the time, across multiple sheets and files that are not derived from a common saved document.

It is very irritating, though less so than Writer's inability to manage the insertion point, and less critical than a data-losing crash.

Yes, I agree that bug looks the same as this - nice to see extra detail as to which sheets are affected and that "saving from last sheet" should fix. It fits with what I remember/noticed is that often the rightmost sheets are affected; also explains why I got no repro when testing on a 1-sheet .xls
