Created attachment 88599 [details]
ZIP containing screenshots of Mac and Linux pages.

Problem description: Currently the pages providing installation advice for both the MacOS and Linux platforms include a version number from the old v3 series. This should be removed to bring it in-line with the same page for Windows.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Visit http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/installation/mac/ or http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/installation/linux/
2. Notice the text in the browser tab and browser window title. For the Mac page it states "LibreOffice 3" and for the Linux page "LibreOffice 3.3". Refer attached screenshots.
3. Now visit http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/installation/windows/ and compare. Not version number is shown.

Current behavior: (Old) version number is shown.

Expected behavior: No version number is shown.

Operating System: All
Version: 3.3 all versions

This is indeed correct.

Maybe the install-pages of Mac and Linux can be reviewed also. The Linux mentions special instructions for 3.3 and 3.4, but those can be removed afaik.
Also has the mac-version a picture of the LO3 startup-screen. Maybe that can be changed to LO4.

The mentionned pages now redirect to http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/feedback

Is this bug still valid? I believe that this bug report can be closed as corrected.

Thanks for pointing this out. The new pages are here:

http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/install-howto/os-x/
http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/install-howto/linux/
http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/install-howto/windows/

The MacOS and GNU/Linux pages are now version agnostic (the linked GNU/Linux wiki page still contains "3.x"). The Windows page does not mention a version in the text, but the screenshots all display "3.5" in the titlebar. The issue has shifted somewhat, but is still there, although in a milder form.

Version numbers are gone in the text and the title. Only the Windows screenshots showing version numbers, but this is OK, I think. --> resolved
