Created attachment 89293 [details] Warped font in right-hand outline frame MacOS 10.7.5, LibreOffice 4.1.1.2: Many fonts appear vertically stretched in some (but not all) outline frames in Impress. This is not a duplicate of Bug 43009 though, as hardware acceleration is turned off; in fact the hardware acceleration checkbox is greyed out and cannot be checked.
Can you please add a sample document which you can reproduce this behavior with? Thanks, Joren

What I see is rather squashed text. It's too narrow and instead of stretched looks squashed: http://cl.ly/image/1c440C3G133O So basically whatever the case, something is wrong. Setting this bug to NEW.
Tested with OS X 10.9 + LO Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: d93433ba1181f5d8f6ded0ed0c103df10ebb1f22 TinderBox: MacOSX-x86@49-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2013-11-20_13:04:00
Looks like the condensed variant is used rather than the regular variant. @jochenweile: Could you please go to Format->Character... and tell us which style is selected for that text?
It seems to be set to "Condensed Medium" by default. But changing it to "Regular" doesn't seem to have any effect.
I found a work-around: Changing the height of the textbox such that the lower border directly touches the bottom of the text causes the text to be re-drawn correctly. It's still quite annoying though having to precisely re-size all my text boxes.

Link in comment 4 is dead, but newest version looks fine for me, neither stretched or squashed. Checked against a 4.3 version that looked squashed, so setting this as resolved Version: 5.2.3.3 Build ID: d54a8868f08a7b39642414cf2c8ef2f228f780cf CPU Threads: 2; OS Version: Mac OS X 10.12; UI Render: default; Locale: en-US (en_NO.UTF-8); Calc: group Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: add5fc37308fe2a22137aaeddddc8e7831bd5bc7
