what about opengrok ? It could be better than cgit because it allows to search through the current code. IMO people who want to look at the code from the web rather search for an element better than get the history of the file. My 2 cents

Hello What we have in Gerrit-etc is not what is in the new gerrit footer. The "If you need help with gerrit itself, please send a email to gerrit@otrs..." text is not there. Either the new ui should be fixed, or the repo updated with the new content.

True. I proposed this footer and pushed it to gerrit-etc. But this specific line you are referencing was removed by another Gerrit admin "this shouldn't be there"). Unfortunately it wasn't removed in gerrit-etc. Patch is highly appreciated.

This will narrow the footer size.
