Hi, We want to improve our QA webpage (http://qa.libreoffice.org/) It would be very nice, if you could a) Review all public pages b) Review all non-public pages For a) a user profile is recommended for b) it is a must. If you need rights the best way is to contact cloph (Christian L.)... Anyone interested? For a) you may also comment here, but direct edit is highly preferred ;)
OK. I added myself to the CC page and will begin reviewing the QA pages. I will send comments and changes to you, Florian. Only problem so far, is that the site seems down? It only loads to a blank page. Is the URL correct? http://qa.libreoffice.org/
I've added myself to the list. I will try to get onto this and not just have it in the good intentions list. I noted a spelling mistake on the front page so that's irritated me enough to help out :)
What might be good is putting the original text and the proposed modified text in a comment (you can do it paragraph by paragraph if that's easier) and then we can just copy/paste it onto the page. Please keep in mind that some of the members who worked on the page are not native English speakers (many Europeans who speak English fluently but it's not their native tongue) - this being said, be kind with suggestions :)
Ah I see Florian has said it is preferred to have direct edits - this is indeed preferred. Additionally - if there are things that you think "naturally belong on the page" please suggest it and we can discuss adding it.
How about we change the following: " For detailed instructions on this process please read our WIKI." To: "<a>See our wiki for a detailed description</a> to get you started. Has a better call to action. Maybe have a <brief/> above it? For automatic testing: "... introduction into the LibreOffice development ..." that should be " ... Intro to LO dev ...." Also, add a link to the https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Python_Unit_Tests page. Maybe change "... write your own automatic check." To ... write your own automatic check (in C++, in Python)." "Please find us on:" should be preceded by a <br> " users,so " add a space
<brief> should be <br> of course. Silly autocorrect...
Attaching suggestions from Brian Barker from the user list - feel free to incorporate them into your ideas. Also has someone gotten priv. to edit the page? I hope one of you will ask Cloph to do so - that way you can just edit the page directly. Thanks!
