Created attachment 89484 [details] A windows problem step recorder showing steps to repeat issue. Problem description: When trying to print envelopes via a mail merge, a custom size of 7.25" x 5.25" is selected. When I choose print, the size picked changes to A5, which is 8.27" x 5.83". I cannot print envelopes. This happens without mail merge. Steps to reproduce: 1. Insert, Envelope. 2. Input Adressee via mail merge or manually, and input Sender. 3. Click on Format tab, select size as "User Defined", with a width of 7.25" and Height of 5.25". 4. Click on 'New Document' 5. Open the print dialog, and it states that the size is now an A5 envelope. Current behavior: Expected behavior: Print on a custom size envelope. Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.1.3.2 release
Caolan, how does this special case fit into the design from bug 61186 ?
Bug 61186 isn't really relevant I believe. What is going on here (I imagine) is that the printer reports a list of paper sizes that it is able to print onto and the selected custom size is not one of them, so the next largest size paper that the printer says it can print onto is shown. It shouldn't really matter though should it ? I mean I believe we print onto the top left corner of the sheet, so we'll print in the top left 7.25" x 5.25" box of what we believe is the A5 sheet, so if you load the printer with 7.25" x 5.25" paper it should work anyway, no ? Do you have any other applications that behave differently in a way that appears to make more sense ?
