Problem description: I have made my own custom toolbar. I do not want to use the Standard Toolbar, so have closed it. Every time I enter anything into any cell, the Standard Toolbar opens in the middle of my screen. Steps to reproduce: 1. .... 2. .... 3. .... Current behavior: Expected behavior: Standard Toolbar stays "off" Operating System: Windows XP Version: 4.0.4.2 release
Thanks for your report. Testing in LO 4.1.3.2 , Windows. I cannot reproduce your problem. I start with an empty spreadsheet, "View -> Toolbars -> Standard" is initially checked so I uncheck it and the Standard toolbar disappears as expected. Then I insert data into cells; the Standard toolbar is still not seen. Once again I go to "View -> Toolbars -> Standard" and check it so to display it. Can you replicate these simple steps? I am setting the status as WORKSFORME. If the problem still persists, please add an additional comment and set it back again to UNCONFIRMED. Regards, Ady.
Per response from Ady, if I go to View/Toolbars/and uncheck Standard, it behaves as one would expect, and does not show up again. However, what I initially did was drag the Standard Toolbar down so it was a floating window, and then clicked the "X" in the upper right to close it. after that, any time I entered data into any cell it would re-appear each time. So the trick is to uncheck it through View/Toolbars, rather than closing the floating toolbar.
see comment from 11/22. the toolbar behaves differently if you close the toolbar by the "X" in the upper right.
this issue has already been reported before. as scorpio said the workaround is to uncheck the toolbar from the View menu. the bug happens only with right click toolbar closing. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 56220 ***
