Open AutoCorrect > Options and you'll see at the bottom [M] Replace while modifying existing text [T] AutoFormat/AutoCorrect while typing How does "while modifying existing text" differ from "while typing"? Is the description at [T] saying that AutoFormat = AutoCorrect? I checked out Help at https://help.libreoffice.org/swriter/CUI_HID_OFAPAGE_AUTOFORMAT_CLB?Language=en-GB&System=WIN&Version=4.1 and it says: When in Writer: In text documents, you can choose to apply the AutoCorrect corrections while you type [T], or only when you modify existing text [M] with Format - AutoCorrect - Apply. Here "AutoFormat" doesn't occur. Most importantly, it seems to be saying the opposite! Can someone sort out this confusing discrepancy?
Hi Kumãra, IMO it would be OK to just say [T] AutoCorrect while typing What do you think ?
Thanks for the response, Cor. Yes, "AutoFormat" should be removed since the phrase doesn't occur in the menu to run it. Going by the info at Help, I think this would be clearer: [M] Correct upon applying AutoCorrect on existing text [T] AutoCorrect while typing
