"Objects/graphics" "Charts" "Drawing objects" and "Zero values" are ticked by default in the Format Page dialogue, "Sheet" tab. I unticked all these items because I do not want them to print but when the document is saved the original defaults get ticked again. Initially encountered this in saving in .xls format. Tried saving as .ods .odt and .xlt all with same result. Likewise if I save with FILE/"Save as Template..." Each time I open one of these saved files I find that the page format for these items has been reset to default - all ticked.
Tested on: Ubuntu 13.10, LibreOffice 4.3 master (built today) and 4.1.5.3 Both worked as expected, saved the documents as ods, closed them, reopened them, and the values remained unchecked. Marking as WFM Please test on a current release and use a fresh profile (backup your current user profile in ~/.config/libreoffice and then delete the main one so that you start with a fresh profile). If you still see the problem please provide clear reproducible steps (exact steps), provide a test document which you have unchecked the values and they appear checked for you, and tell us what operating system you are running then mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED. Thanks for reporting
Thank you for responding. I tried deleting my profile per your instruction and also I tried reinstalling Libreoffice in Synaptic Package Manager but the bug still exists in my copy of Libreoffice. However I note that version 4.1.5.3 whereas 4.1.3.2 is the version that Ubuntu presently installs. I am using Ubuntu 13:10 64-bit (fully updated) - see screen-shots below. Do I need to wait until Canonical releases version 4.1.5.3 in an update or can I install it now? (and if so, how to install) Thank you so much Owen On 26/02/14 15:18, bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org wrote: > Joel Madero <mailto:jmadero.dev@gmail.com> changed bug 73819 > <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73819> > What Removed Added > Status UNCONFIRMED RESOLVED > Resolution --- WORKSFORME > CC jmadero.dev@gmail.com > > *Comment # 1 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73819#c1> > on bug 73819 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73819> from > Joel Madero <mailto:jmadero.dev@gmail.com> * > Tested on: > Ubuntu 13.10, LibreOffice 4.3 master (built today) and 4.1.5.3 > > Both worked as expected, saved the documents as ods, closed them, reopened > them, and the values remained unchecked. > > Marking as WFM > > Please test on a current release and use a fresh profile (backup your current > user profile in ~/.config/libreoffice and then delete the main one so that you > start with a fresh profile). > > If you still see the problem please provide clear reproducible steps (exact > steps), provide a test document which you have unchecked the values and they > appear checked for you, and tell us what operating system you are running then > mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED. > > > Thanks for reporting > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > You are receiving this mail because: > > * You reported the bug. >
Well - I really doubt it is related to the version. That being said - let me get another tester involved and we'll move from there
Confirmed on 4.2.1.1 with XLS format. Not in opendocument.
