dont know where to post it, but the bug submission assistant on the LO homepage is really annoying.

1) forgot my password. now option to get a new one via the LO page. first had to go to bugzilla homepage (without any hint by LO).

2) got blocked for 30 minutes because of wrong password. reset the password via bugzilla. directly able to login to bugzilla, but blocking on LO website continues

3) while trying to send a bug got i got the "data not loaded" (or similar) message multiple times and had to refill and retry the formular multiple times

4) trying to submit another bug. got the error message "token blabla"

srly. thats not a userfriendly "assistant".

How can one know what blabla you have got? It would help a lot if you could write full error message next time.

im sorry for that. i did not remember the exact message. it was something about that i come from the wrong website? is that possible?

And this bug report isn't really helpful either. Basically we are discussion a bag full of issues here.

Some are already addressed in other bugs (feel free to search: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=__open__&list_id=391144&product=LibreOffice&query_format=specific&order=changeddate%20DESC%2Cbug_status%2Cpriority%2Cassigned_to%2Cbug_id&limit=0 ) (use "bsa" for your search and / or "bugzilla")

and I'm not sure which specific bug this report is meant to cover.

There's the rule one bug/ report.

While I understand your frustration and agree with you 100% that the current user experience is far from great, I'm not sure what exactly you'd like to see improved from reading this report.

So please keep in mind to make very clear what exactly you'd like to see improved and ideally propose a suggestion how that could be achieved.

you are absolutely right and im sorry for that.

the point is i wanted to quickly send two bugs of libre office and as stated on the homepage the assistant is the easy and best way and first choice for submitting bugs.

and then: nothing works and i really got pissed of.

so thinking of it again and answering your question - my suggestion what should be done is: remove the assistant from the webpage as long as it is THAT buggy.

the userface is really good and much more userfriendly as bugzilla, but you should keep in mind, that the libre office homepage is not made for developers (like a wiki or bugzilla is). The website (and the bugtracker on the website) is used by normal users. the website is, what is shown to the public. thats neither a good publicity for libre office nor for the whole open source scene.

so once again: take it offline. fix the biggest problems and bring it back online as soon as it is what it should be: an assistant thats helpfull instead of annoying.

Well, I propose to close this report as INVALID as it won't help to fix anything and please do open new one(s) if the following issues occur:

This time please file one report for each issue, please attach a screenshot of your browser window and try to write steps to reproduce in every detail possible (pasting full error messages).
Good reports will more likely allow to fix bugs in BSA.
Of course please file a report directly in Bugzilla if BSA is unusable for you.
If you want to help develop the BSA code then just fork it on GitHub https://github.com/tdf/www-bugassistant and file Pull request.
