Description Richard 2014-02-08 07:04:13 UTC
Very disappointed, Created large files with multiple slides in draw using png and line art. Some files were 30 slides up to 100 slides. PNG files, one per slide, averaged 300Kb in size.

Interesting thing, some of the PNG images are fine while others were missing.
Example:

Created the file, saved file, everything on the screen looked good. The thumbnails in the pages window were displayed, go through each file selecting them and they show up in the working window.

Close file, reopen file. I wait for all the slides to display in the pages window and then I select each slide one at a time.

Interesting part is the thumbnail was there before I selected the slide, but when I select the slide by clicking on the thumbnail in the pages windows, I get a missing picture frame in the working window. The other interesting issue is the thumbnail picture in the pages windows now looks like the working window with just the missing picture frame.

This started happening on the version previous to 4.2, but I don't know if was an issue prior to that cause I just starting using Draw.

I said, "hmmmmm maybe a newer version would fix this issue"? I was so wrong, version 4.2 is 1000% worse than the previous version. I am in France trying to teach very technical information and I find out, during class, that many of my images are missing. Very bad. I am going back to Microsoft as I can not trust your product to perform correctly. When you get it figured out, put the word out and I will try again, but until then, I must have a product that does not destroy hours and hours of my work.

1) Would it be possible you attach the file so we can take a look? If it's not possible, could you give a minimal test case to reproduce the problem?

2) As http://fr.libreoffice.org/telecharger/ indicates, 4.2.0.4 is the first version of 4.2 branch and very young to be useable in production.
