Did you intentionally assign the bug to yourself?

Am seeing similar, to date ONLY seen this error with PASSWORD PROTECTED files.

When opening password-protected file and mistype password am seeing this ERROR message:

**The file 'Deleted.ods' is corrupt and therefore cannot be opened. LibreOffice can try to repair the file.
The corruption could be the result of document manipulation or of structural document damage due to data transmission.
We recommend that you do not trust the content of the repaired document.
Execution of macros is disabled for this document.
Should LibreOffice repair the file?**

Attempt to repair the file may or may not work.
Self restored from BackUp copies a few times, suspected then realized ERROR was NOT corrupt file, rather mistyped password error.

This ERROR consistent when type an incorrect password, then when type carefully file opens OK.

IMHO the message CORRUPT FILE is not correct, correct message to PASSWORD FAILED.

Or is it libreoffice does NOT identify these as different errors ?

My typing needs improve ;-O

This happening since recently upgraded libreoffice to:
Name: libreoffice
Version: 5.0.2.2-1.2
Arch: x86_64
Vendor: openSUSE
Installed: Yes
Status: up-to-date

This bug report is about file created by LibreOffice and opened by MS-Office.
For problem with password protected file, please file a separated bug report.

Closing back as WFM.

Facing this resolved issue today with a docx file, edited in Libre Office and saved back to docx. Version 6.0.3.2 shipped with Ubuntu 18.04 (1:6.0.3-0ubuntu1). Word (recent version, but I do not know how to identify the specific version) will not open the files.
