Description josé faria 2014-02-12 12:10:33 UTC
the auto-correct doesn't work on "start all sentences with a capital letter" if the previous sentence ended with a parenthesis.

Could NOT reproduce on 4.1.4.2 AND 4.2.0.4. Auto-correct works "correctly"...

Maybe you put the full stop --inside-- the parenthesis, instead of --outside--

AFAICT, the punctuation (fullstop, exclamation mark etc.) belong out of the parentheses pair, because they refer to the whole period. So I think the behaviour of the auto-correct function is as intended.

Setting this to WORKSFORME. If you feel otherwise, please change it back and provide more info on the subject.

On second thought, the correct behaviour is language-dependant. The rules of your language could be different than mine.

I tested in English and Greek. Can you please provide info on your laguage settings?

P.S. setting to NEEDINFO

on the new version 4.2.0.4 (Portuguese), the capitalising on the start of the sentence is now working if there are letters and numbers inside de parenthesis.
example: (word), (something3)(3lse) (match1ng)

but if there are only number, like (2) or (43) doesn't work

new bug??
