Description Rpnpif 2014-02-14 15:41:18 UTC
Problem description:
Affect Language None to cells does not disable spellchecking : unknown words for the default language of LO are underlined.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enter an unknown word in French language in a cell. Default language of the sheet is French. The word is red underlined as expected.
2. Affect Format Cell with language None.
3. The word is ever red underlined even after saving and reopen the spreadsheet.

Expected behavior:
The word should not be underlined when the language is marked unknown.

Note that if the language None is affected to the cell before entering the unknown word, there are no bug : it is not underlined as it should be.

Note also that if I right click on the unknown word with "language none", no menu appear as expected (perhaps another bug). Then when I left-click in another cell, the word is no more underlined.

Operating System: Debian
Version: 4.2.0.4 release

No need to reopen, when the window display is refreshed, the underlines appear again.

Still in LO 4.3.1.2.

Hi,

It is strange that this bug has be marked as a duplicate of a bug more recent.
Comment 9 Joel Madero 2015-01-06 17:41:39 UTC
Yeah - just the other bug already had quite a bit of triage activity so it was easier to just mark this one as a duplicate. But I updated the version on that bug to reflect the same as this one. Thanks for reporting!

This was not actually a duplicate, but good news: I could repro with 4.3.0, but not with master. I will close as WFM
