File appears correctly saved.
Content does not appear damaged.

Could you please give more information about the different single steps to reproduce this issue.

Did you install any LO specific extensions?
Did you install the whole LO package or just a part of it?
Could you rename your LO directory profile? (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile)
If it still fails, you might give a try to version 4.2.2

Uninstall old MS Visual C++ components (having only 2012 versions) seems to fix this problem.
