Created attachment 95138 [details] Look at the file name and the format that Thunar reports When a PNG picture is added to the document it gets added with no trouble. When the same picture needs to be saved on the disk we have to: 1) Right-Click on the image in the document 2) Select Save Graphic... option This will pop-up a dialog that will help the user to save the image to the desired location. The dialog has an option to save the image in desired format. Various options are available. If, for example, JPEG is chosen, the image gets saved on to the disk with a .jpg extension. The problem is that the files internal format does not change from PNG to JPEG. It is the extension that changes. This is misleading as other applications that can read the format will report the image as a PNG image.
Confirmed with version 4.2.3.0.0+ Not sure if this function is intended to allow to save the picture in another format. Perhaps the problem is that the save dialog allows to choose the file format and it shouldn't. Please do not set your own bug reports to NEW, they must be independently confirmed.
