Increasing an indent (moving to the right) of a bulleted statement works as expected. However, decreasing the indent (move to the left) the bullet jumps to the far left of the page rather than moving back a single level.
please upload test file do you increase/decrease indent with the proper GUI buttons or using the tab key? moreover do you select the whole bulleted list or just some of it's items?
The Tab button works to increase the indent. However, when using the GUI buttons to decrease the indent, that is when the symbol jumps to the far left but the line item does not move. Continuous clicking on the decrease indent button results in the symbol jumping farther to the left until if finally disappears from the page. Seems to be the case whether I select one or more bulleted items. When increasing the indent via the GUI button, the item moves appropriately, but the symbol does not change (like it does using the Tab key). Moving multiple items via the Tab key results in the items being deleted from the page/screen. Hope that helps. Did this never work in previous releases or is this a regression? (Also: Possibly related to fdo#42708).
I can reproduce with a new document using version 4.1.5.3 under Debian and 4.2.2.1 under Ubuntu. If you have a long text append to a bullet, even the text disappears with the bullet out of the page. Change plateform to all, set as New - Sophie
(In reply to comment #6) > Did this never work in previous releases or is this a regression? > (Also: Possibly related to fdo#42708). It seems it has always been like that. I can reproduce it in LibO 3.3.3 and AOO 4.0.0 hence issue is inherited from OOo
abdulmajeed ahmed committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=f0dc2d755932b00b83db884334bcd0741056c884 Fix fdo#75936 set limit for decreasing indent The patch should be included in the daily builds available at http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More information about daily builds can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Testing_Daily_Builds Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.
Hi, is it a good idea to disable the decrease indent button when the limit reached? That mean the button is disabled from the start and it will be enabled if you increased the indent.
Could not reproduce. Windows Vista 64 Version: 4.4.3.2 Build ID: 88805f81e9fe61362df02b9941de8e38a9b5fd16 and 4.3.6.2 4.2.8.2 Decrease indent is an option. Changed to RESOLVED FIXED because of commit.
