If saving a spreadsheet template you can choose between ODF Template (*.ots) and OpenOffice 1.1 Template (*.stc). In template manager only *.stc-templates are shown. *.ots-templates seem to be ignored. The other ODF template formats (*.ott, *.otp) are also shown properly. Seems that the problem only concerns spreadsheet templates.
Hi, Could not reproduce with version 4.2.2.1 Ubuntu 13.10. The template is shown in the Spreadsheet category under My template. Could you tell us what is your operating system? Sophie

Tested again with LO 4.2.6.3 on Windows 7 x64 and the problem still exists. To reproduce: 1. put templates of Writer- (*.ott), Calc- (*.ots) and Impress- (*.otp) and Draw (*.otg) documents to a certain folder, lets say "c:\temp" 2. change the default template path via Extras -> Tools -> LibreOffice -> Paths -> Documenttemplates to point to "c:\temp" 3. open template manager via File -> New -> Templates... 4. click through each tab and see what templates are shown: you will see all the templates you created *EXCEPT* the template for the spreadsheed
