MS Page says:

"Live layout and alignment guides

Get a live preview as you resize and move photos and shapes in your document. The new alignment guides make it easy to line up charts, photos, and diagrams with your text."

Valid Enhancement request > NEW.

This is similar to Bug #74317.

Came here looking to file a bug about live-alignment guides. This is lacking in all of the LO Suite.

When clicking and dragging an element like an image or a table across the canvas, live guides automatically show and allow for the element being dragged to snap against it. Sometimes the guides show top lines against nearby elements like paragraph; sometimes the guides show up bisecting the canvas in the middle or center (or both); better still, guides may be shown at 25%, 50% and 75% of the length or the breadth of the canvas too.

The easiest implementation IMO is to show all the guides by default whenever an element is being dragged. The more intuitive option is to show (vertical / horizontal) guides depending on the direction of the drag and depending on the position relative to nearby elements.

Writer, Impress and Draw.

Alignment guides are available already to a certain extent in the current version of LO. I am on (v6.1.1.2 on Linux).

On Impress and Writer: View -> Grid and Helplines -> Helplines while moving.
