Problem Description: When you resize the Print Preview dialog this leads to a hang-up of the print view image. Furthermore, the print preview is quite slow, because it takes a few moments until the print preview is shown. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open WRITER 2. Go to FILE -> PRINT Interim Result: The dialog opens and in the left section you see the print preview, but it takes (even for an empty page) a few moments until it is shown. 3. Go with the mouse pointer to for instance the left border of the dialog and now extent the dialog and take a look at the print preview Result: The print preview hangs up with apparently two (three for moving the top or bottom border) pages on top of each other. Expected Behavior: The print preview should be shown without delay and any resizing should not lead to a destruction and hang-up of the print preview. System: LO 4.2.1.1, Win 8.1
Hi Andy, thanks for reporting Is the same behaviour with all files? (with/without images/tables/etc.) What do you understand for delay? Can you attach a sample file to reproduce the issue? (Be aware that all comments posted, including attachments are public)
Hi m.a.riosv, thank you for your reply. I experience this delay without any specific file, simply opening a new empty document in WRITER (there are no text or pictures necessary). If I go then to FILE -> PRINT then the PRINT dialog box opens immediately, but in the left section of this dialog box you can see a small snapshot of your empty document and it takes around one second until I can see this snapshot. This delay I have also with any other not empty document, really every document (small and large documents, with pictures and without pictures). It seems not to depend on the document. I have this delay also with Macro dialog box in LO.
Changed the status to Unconfirmed.
